Music recorded at Abbey Road Studios will now be powered by the wind and the sun after leading UK music company Universal Music switched supply to green energy company Ecotricity.

Abbey Road Studios was established in 1931 by the Gramophone Company, a predecessor of EMI, which owned it until Universal Music took over part of EMI in 2012. The building is most famous for the 1960’s venue for bands such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Hollies, Badfinger and numerous others.
