Please scroll down for lots of useful information. There are links to industry and environmental journals, relevant dates in the environmental and renewable energy calendar, current debates, a solar PV Feed-in Tariff calculator, green products websites, campaign groups and more. Some of this might be a bit outdated given time considerations and the fact that I don't get paid for doing this, but I do try and keep it as fresh and new as I can so it's still worth checking out.

UK low carbon generation up by 6 percentage points

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has just released its EnergyTrends statistics for June to August 2015, showing low carbon generation increased by 6 percentage points.

The release shows that primary energy consumption in the UK fell by 0.7 percent on a fuel input basis and 0.6 percent according to a temperature adjusted basis. UK energy production rose by a record 14 percent, boosted by increased UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) production (oil and gas). However, wind generation by major power producers increased by 46 percent due to increased capacity and higher wind speeds with an overall increase of 43 percent for renewables generally, incorporating growth in biomass and hydro.
